“Dentro Fora Sagrado Profano” brings together at the Central Nucleus of Taguspark, from February 12 to April 12, different artistic languages that lead the public on a journey to meet the essence of the human, nature and the transcendent.
With works by Nelson Ferreira, António Faria and Gianmarco Donaggio, the exhibition has at its center a cube that functions as a space for immersion and contemplation. Inside, there are the PlatiGleam paintings by Nelson Ferreira, and on the outside, large-format drawings by António Faria expand the horizon of the exhibition to a universe of symbolic and organic landscapes. Gianmarco Donaggio’s experimental films, inspired by the paintings, were screened on a large scale at the Cinemateca Portuguesa, enriching and complementing this immersive experience.
The exhibition aims to promote critical thinking and contribute to the well-being of those who visit and work in the City of Knowledge.
This day also marks the official opening of the first MAU-SNBA Artistic Residency, which has been attended since January by the artists: Beatriz Uva, Elisa Ochoa, Maria Savchenko and Tatyana Cristina.
And, because at MAU – Museum of Urban Art the concept of upcycling is taken seriously, we invite you to get to know the new artistic benches next to the Central Nucleus. Curated by Adilson de Auxiliador, the works of Oats INK, Romp – Rita Os Meus Pés, Desy_CXXIII, Mafaldamg, Tiago Hesp and Vasco Maio give a new life, another story, to banks.
