Madagascar tells the story of a group of inseparable friends who escape from their home at the Central Park Zoo in New York City and face an unexpected journey into the extravagant and crazy world of Madagascar.Alex the Lion is the king of the urban jungle, the zoo’s main attraction, in New York’s Central Park. He and his best friends – Marty, Melman and Gloria– have spent their entire lives in captivity, happy, in front of an audience that admires them and with regular meals. Not content with the life he had, Marty lets his curiosity get the better of him and plans a whole escape – with the help of some prodigious penguins – to explore the world.Filled with fun and adventurous characters, Madagascar leaves the audience with no choice but “MOVE IT, MOVE IT”!
