The ceremony will take place at Nelson Mandela Square, next to the Núcleo Central building, and will be attended by Isaltino Morais (Mayor of Oeiras), Eduardo Baptista Correia (CEO of Taguspark), Clo Bourgard (author of the sculpture) , by Portuguese journalist António Mateus and South African journalist John Battersby, authors of two books on Nelson Mandela. John Battersby was the journalist who most often interviewed the anti-apartheid leader and who was famous for the hug given to Nelson Mandela when he got out of prison. The ceremony also features the interventions of Francisco Rocha Gonçalves (Vice-President of the Municipality of Oeiras) and Nuno Delgado (Judo athlete).
