TimeView – Smart Timelapses designs and produces standalone image capture systems and develops software for remote monitoring, visual documentation and timelapse video creation, providing immersive virtual reality experiences. By integrating artificial intelligence into its systems, TimeView aims to contribute to increasing efficiency and sustainability in various sectors as well as strong support for decision making.

What is your mission and distinctive factors?

Develop technological solutions that contribute to greater sustainability and efficiency in various sectors. We are currently focused on digitizing the construction sector. With more than 15 years of know-how in the audiovisual and communication sector, combined with a high investment in technological development of hardware and software, we present creative solutions that respond to the challenges of contemporary society.

We believe in a fresh and disruptive look focused on the user experience and the effectiveness of the tools to achieve results.

Noteworthy is the innovation of our Smart Timelapses 360º system, which allows visual documentation and remote monitoring of 360º projects and the subsequent creation of immersive timelapse videos in virtual reality. No less important is the fact that our systems are 100% powered by solar energy.

What does it mean for your start-up to be inserted in Taguspark?

Being inserted in Taguspark is, for us, a central opportunity for growth in an ecosystem that values innovation without leaving aside the goal of building a better society. The synergies and tools we have access to have proven a very large acceleration and traction factor for our business.

In terms of current projects, can you highlight or reveal any innovation or new projects you are working on?

After the consolidation of our 360º capture system, we are currently working on 3 axes of evolution of our product:

1 – Integration of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and sensors.

2 – Integration with BIM models.

3 – Evolution of systems for SaaS – Software as a Service.

One of the most interesting projects that we have underway at the moment is the monitoring of the work of what will be the tallest building in Porto, the Miramar Tower, scheduled for completion in 2023. In the city of Porto we are also present in two more very interesting works.

Within your industry, can you underline any ongoing trends and to which you are responding?

The general trend is for the digitisation of sectors and the implementation of IoT solutions that make production processes more transparent, efficient and sustainable. It is precisely in this sense that we are developing our tool, which is in its genesis an IoT system and, as such, its evolution depends only on creativity and the capacity for technological development, two of our main axes of investment.

In one sentence, indicate the importance of innovation for sound social and economic development.

From our point of view, innovation is precisely one of the key factors that will guarantee us a sustainable future at all levels as a society.

What are the prospects for the medium, long term future?

The medium-term prospects are the completion of the technological development phase in which we find ourselves and the consolidation in the national market to later expand horizons for the international market. We are currently in the investment capture phase for the development of the next version of our technology. In the long run, we intend to have a non-profit area that can apply our technology to social and environmental causes.

TimeView presented its first pitch at pitch at the Beach event and won an excellent 3rd place out of 30 start-ups from around the world. How was the experience?

Pitch at the Beach is in fact an event with its own characteristics. In our case it was a very effective acceleration factor, which provided us with not only a huge growth in human relations but also access to an international ecosystem of entrepreneurship. As a result of our participation we have already developed some partnerships, we have had the opportunity to test our concept before an extremely demanding jury and we are in contact with some investors who may contribute to our growth.
